Ryan Schuster

My name is Ryan Schuster and I received my BSc in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences with a focus on Meteorology at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. During my last year of undergraduate school I studied at University College London (UCL) as well. Research projects I have worked on include:

Programming an infrasonic microphone array to sense tornado formation.
Adjusting parameters in the ECMWF forecast model to create more accurate hurricane track forecasts with Dr. Peter Webster.
Exploring ambient wind controls on ozone transport over Long Island at the Stony Brook University REU program.
Observing the movement of vehicle emissions in urban street canyons in London with UCL.

I have also worked with air quality consultants in the Atlanta area to monitor factories for EPA compliance.
Currently, I am a graduate assistant at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS)at the University of Miami. My advisor is Dr. Lynn "Nick" Shay who I will be working with to study hurricane intensification and upper ocean dynamics.
