MPO 551, Fall 2010
This class emphasizes the Atmospheric Thermodynamics, Cloud Microphysics, Atmospheric Dynamics, and Radiative Transfer chapters
of Wallace and Hobbs (Chs. 3, 6, 7, and 4, in that order). Other consulted textbooks include Rogers and Yau, Holton, Hartmann,
and Petty (both thermo and RT). Homework is assigned every week but only graded on participation (10%), with 2 exams each weighted 25%, and a final worth 40%.
