My research focuses on articulating cloud processes and cloud radiative impacts. Examples include elucidating and explaining cloud vertical structure in the Tropics; mixed-phase cloud behavior in the Arctic; three-dimensional radiative transfer behavior for both boundary-layer and more vertically-developed clouds; and aerosol indirect effects on stratocumulus clouds. My somewhat outdated research page will tell you more. During Oct-Nov 2008 David Painemal and I participated in the VOCALS -Rex experiment in the southeastern Pacific.
