Welcome! I am a PhD candidate in Sharan Majumdar's research group at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School (RSMAS). My research uses a combination of numerical modeling, statistical analysis, and data assimilation techniques to understand the influence of the surrounding environment on the predictability of tropical cyclone (TC) structure and intensity. I am particularly interested in demonstrating how better observations of environmental vertical wind shear can benefit TC forecasts.

Prior to my graduate research, I studied how ensembles of tropical cyclone track forecasts can be used to create new tools for predicting errors in storm motion. I have also worked as a research scientist on the GOES-R Satellite program at Atmospheric and Environmental Research (AER), and as a volunteer at the Blue Hill Observatory in Milton, MA.
