Modeling projects description and summary
All the simulations of the various projects were run with the UCLA Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS - Shchepetkin and McWilliams 2004). This version has the capability to nest one-way and on-line multiple grids of various horizontal resolution. It uses the Adaptative Grid Refinement in Fortran (AGRIF) package (Blayo and Debreu, 1999). Model information and sources are available at http://roms.mpl.ird.fr/. ROMS is a terrain following coordinates ocean model also known as 'sigma coordinate'.
