I am a PhD candidate at the Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) in the Meteorology and Physical Oceanography Department (MPO), working under the supervision of Dr. David S. Nolan.

I received a B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Maryland (College Park) in Spring 2010, and started at RSMAS in the fall of 2010.

My research interests include tropical cyclone modeling and forecast improvement. Currently, I am focusing on whether the synoptic situation a tropical cyclone experiences can provide a priori information about a model’s forecast skill.
