Engineering Support Facility Engineering Support FacilityThe ESF concept pools resources from various scientific programs and applies them to the individual needs of individual researchers, with the benefits of time sharing of key equipment and human resources. It gives the Rosenstiel School scientist a competitive edge and engineering continuity that otherwise he can achieve only by creating his own electronics shop and hiring his own Electrical Engineer.
ESF also provides engineering management for specialized projects, computerized printed circuit board design and artwork, electronic equipment assembly and testing. Computer based instrumentation, data acquisition and processing utilizing personal or especially designed computers are supported.
