Desktop pictures are available in 11 flavors (see thumbnails above) and three common monitor resolutions. For the best looking installation, use the desktop picture at the same resolution as your monitor.

To determine the current resolution of your monitor: Windows- Use the Display control panel and Settings tab - look at the Desktop Area slider for the current resolution of your monitor; Macintosh- Use the Monitors control panel (System 8/9) or the Displays panel in System Preferences (System X). The current resolution with be highlighted.

To install the desktop picture you downloaded as your current background: Windows- Use the Background tab of the Display control panel; Macintosh- Use the Desktop tab of the Appearence contol panel (System 8/9) or the Desktop panel in System Preferences (System X).
