Vincent Torres, Manager: Office of Emergency Preparedness and Campus Safety

Mr. Vincent Torres began working at RSMAS in March 2014. His multidisciplinary career creates a uniquely diverse skill set with a combination of Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Critical Infrastructure, Corporate Security & Force Protection.

He has his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and holds several Law Enforcement and Emergency Management certifications from various institutions including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP).

Mr. Torres holds active memberships with several organizations and committees including the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association, Police Benevolent Association Broward County (PBA), Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA), American Society for Industrial Security International (ASIS), Infragard, Association of Contingency Planners International (ACP), U.S. Coast Guard Southeast Florida Area Committee & Regional Domestic Security Taskforce (Southeast Florida).

 

Will Mojica, Lead Campus Safety Officer

LCSO Mojica graduated Miami Springs Senior High school and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served as an infantry rifleman team leader while deployed in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After ending active duty he earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice. Mr. Mojica has extensive security experience and has previously worked for G4S Secure Solutions in different security roles.

 

Heidi Lopez, Campus Safety Officer

CSO Lopez attended Miami Beach Senior High School and spent over a decade working at the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort on Miami Beach. She has been a Campus Safety Officer at RSMAS since 2010.

 

Rafael Gonzalez, Campus Safety Officer

CSO Gonzalez has worked as a Campus Safety Officer at RSMAS since 1995. Mr. Gonzalez attended Hialeah High School and Fort Lauderdale College.

 

Sergio Garcia, Campus Safety Officer

CSO Garcia attended Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School. After graduating Mr. Garcia went on to enlist in the United States Army, where he served for four years as a team leader and squad leader in Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and also served in South Korea. Mr. Garcia worked as a security professional with G4S Secure Solution in different roles for twelve years. He joined the RSMAS December of 2014.
