Research

Researchers in the Department of Marine Ecosystems and Society conduct research and education on a wide variety of marine related issues, integrating disciplines as varied as fisheries population and community dynamics, mathematical ecology, cultural anthropology, natural resource economics, fishery management, aquaculture, oceanography, law, climate dynamics, operations research and the decision sciences. Our undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. programs involve intensive hands on experiences in the field, laboratory and with governmental, non-governmental and private sector organizations in countries throughout the world.
