UM Rosenstiel School Announces Underwater Photography Contest Winners

VIRGINIA KEY, FL (April 22, 2005) — Known for its pursuit of ocean science, Rosenstiel School ventured into ocean art by sponsoring its first amateur underwater photography contest this year. The contest was divided into three categories: “Florida Diving” (e.g., Florida coral reefs, wrecks, seagrass beds, mangroves), “Macro,” and “Wide Angle” photography. The School also recognized the best overall submission. The Rosenstiel School Underwater Photography Contest was open to all amateur photographers who earn no more than 20 percent of their income from their photography. Here are this year's winners:
