Welcome
to my personal Web site! Please feel
free to browse around my Web site. My name is Roque Vinicio
Cespedes. Currently, I am a graduate student/research
assistant at
the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and
Atmospheric Science (RSMAS). In Spring of 2009, I graduated
from the RSMAS undergraduate program, with a Bachelor of
Science degree with a double-major in Meteorology and Applied
Mathematics, and a minor in Spanish. In Fall of 2009, I
began graduate school at the RSMAS Division of Meteorology
and Physical Oceanography (MPO). My RSMAS MPO graduate
advisor is Professor Brian J. Soden. My goals are to
eventually obtain a Ph.D. from RSMAS/MPO. In May of 2010, I
obtained a score of High Pass in my MPO Comprehensive
Examination. The focus of my graduate research work is on
how climate change may be affecting the rainfall of Florida and the Caribbean. For my
first year of graduate school, I was awarded a graduate
fellowship from the American Meteorological Society (AMS),
sponsored by the NOAA Climate Program Office (CPO). |
