As a second step, I have modified the mode so that the model can run from an initial condition derived from NOGAPS's initial condition.



Figure below shows the tangentil wind profiles at 500 hPa of Typhoon Sinlaku produced by NOGPAS with a horizontal resolution of T79 (CTL) and T239 (DTM), respectively. The initial time is 00UTC 10th September 2008.



Asymmetric component of wind field at the level (500 hPa) is shown below as a form of stream function.
Figure on the left (right) is for CTL (DTM).
The domain is 3000 km x 3000 km centered on the typhoon.







Figure below shows the result of 3-day integrations regarding the TC motion of CTL (black) and DTM (red), respectively.
Symbols along the tracks are plotted every 12 hour.
