SEOM Software and Highlights
SEOM has a suite of utility programs necessary for pre and
post-processing. Most of them have been designed in-house, some with
collaboration with our colleagues and students, and some are
third-party software.
The code can thus be divided into 3 broad categories:
- The 1D, 2D, and 3D codes which contain only the computatioanl
engines.
- visualization codes
- Interpolation codes to interpolate the solution to an arbitrary
set of points using the native interpolation polynomials of the
spectral element method. This is useful to produce solution
values on a finite-difference type grid for contouring. This can
also be usefull for producing data sets that are amenable for
processing with matlab and other such software.
- Data Preparation such as Objective Analysis (see Hernan Arango's
package), bathymetry smoothing, wind interpolation, etc...
- Other Utilities programs.
