North American Youth Science Leadership Institute
This program brought some of the brightest students in North America together for two weeks of learning and outdoor
experiences in beautiful Bartow, West Virginia. This program is similar to The National Youth Science Camp. I was a delegate
to that camp in 1998, and worked on staph in 1999. At NAYSLI I was the Physical Sciences Coordinator.

Almost Heaven, West Virginia. Taken just before sunset on Spruce Knob.

One of the reasons why I love West Virginia so much: the scenery! This was taken at Spruce Knob Lake.

The fabulous Staph of NAYSLI.

Stew, a basic camp staple. It's really tasty after a long day on the trail.

We made too much stew so Basil and Eli finished it for us!

Our Goober, er...Director, Darrin.

I gave a Directed Study on geology called "Like a Rolling Stone."

Why are there pirates in West Virginia?????

ARRR! It's the dreaded Pirate, Captain Scented Candle! No, really, it's just Katie.

Delegates and Staph get ready for an overnighter.

A beautiful shot of the Vietnam Memorial at night, part of our monument tour.

The delegates of the first EVER NAYSLI! Taken at the Einstein Memorial Statue, Washington, DC.
