DSV Alvin
The Deep Submergence Vehicle (DSV) Alvin is owned by the Navy and operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The Alvin can dive to 4500 meters
beneath the ocean's surface, carrying 2 scientists and a pilot. Typical dives last around eight hours.
