Seafood Watch

The Monterey Bay Aquarium developed the Seafood Watch program to empower consumers on the importance of making smart choices when buying seafood. The University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science is proud to be a full partner in this initiative. The School distributes thousands of Seafood Watch pocket guides each year and educates the community on sustainable seafood.

The University of Miami is dedicated to creating a sustainable future by educating the community on environmental conservation and by fostering a culture of environmental awareness on campus. In 2005 the University launched Green U, a program coordinated by the Office of Environmental Health and Safety aimed at making UM a community leader in the acquisition of environmentally responsible products, and the practice of ecologically sound maintenance and operations procedures. http://www.miami.edu/umgreen
