Sea Secrets

Earth, the blue planet, is shaped and defined by oceanic processes – above and below the water. Oceans cover two-thirds of our planet’s surface; yet much about them remains a mystery.

We invite you to meet distinguished scientists and explorers, as you learn more about our blue planet in a series of evening programs specifically designed for the South Florida non-scientific community.

Sea Secrets is presented by the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and the Ocean Research and Education Foundation, and has been sponsored by The Lawrence J. and Florence A. De George Charitable Trust, the Charles N. and Eleanor Knight Leigh Foundation, Royal Caribbean International, the International Oceanographic Foundation, the Sain-Orr Foundation, and the Curtis and Edith Munson Foundation.

This series has been in existence since 1998, however in 2002, the series was officially renamed from the Blue Planet Lecture Series to the Sea Secrets Lecture Series.
