About Danielle McDonald

In addition to using fish to study human health issues such as stress, McDonald’s work focuses on the connection between pharmaceutical drugs, such as antidepressants, and inadequate water management, which has lead to traceable quantity of these drugs in some waterways across the US. This can negatively affect the biological processes in fish and gives insight on the impact of long-term antidepressant use, which has many negative side effects in humans.
