Q: What is LaTeX?
A: Its a free (as in beer) document creation program. It works a bit
like html in that you write commands which LaTeX interprets and uses to
create a beautiful, professional looking document.

Q: Why should I use LaTeX?
A: Its free, works on all computer platforms and is the de facto
standard for creating high-quality scientific documents. It handles
formulas and mathematical figures very well and keeps track of
references and figure numbers so you don't have to!

Q: LaTeX looks hard! Do you have to be a super-nerd to use it?
A: No! While LaTeX is not WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), with a
little work, you can be creating LaTeX documents in no time! Online
you'll find a huge community of people to help and lots of examples to
help show you how to do things.

Q: What else is awesome about LaTex?
A: You can use it to make posters and presentation slides; you don't
have to give money to Bill Gates; the only thing you edit are plain text
files, so you can edit your documents anywhere - on any computer, no
matter how old or slow!
