Seagrasses:  Bestowing the Beauty and Bounty of Biscayne Bay
 
Learn about and discuss these underwater flowering plants, including how they provide nursery habitat for marine life, keep our bay clean, and what is being done to protect and restore them.  Enjoy a showing of WPBT Channel 2’s “Changing Seas: Seagrasses and Mangroves” program featuring Biscayne Bay.  Folks highlighted the program include BBAP staff, Dr.  Jim Fourqurean (FIU), Travis Thyberg (UM RSMAS), and Amanda Borque, Biscayne National Park.
 
When:  Tuesday, 3/15
Where: RSMAS Seminar Room
Time:  Refreshments start at 6pm (hosted by Friends of Biscayne Bay, Inc). Program runs from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
