Overview:
David has worked extensively with NOAA's Southeast Fisheries Science Center on several projects on one or more of NOAA's bycatch and seabird observer identification projects. He was also curator of birds at the North Carolina State Museum, and has years of ship-board experience. He pioneered seabird and marine mammal work off the Outer Banks back in the 70s and 80s. David will be leading the at-sea survey(s) and assessments of marine fauna in the pelagic spill zones on behalf of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
