Research Interests
Dr Lee received his PhD in Preventive Medicine in December 1989 and joined the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health in September 1990. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications utilizing large population-based health surveys conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics. He has been funded by the National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), the National Institute on Aging (NIA), and the National Eye Institute (NEI) to complete comprehensive analyses of the epidemiology of hearing and visual impairments in minority populations. Dr. Lee is the former Director of the Miami-Dade Fire Fighter's Health Project, which was designed to lower disease risk in firefighters and paramedics.
