CANCER RELATED RESEARCH Area of research is receptor-mediated carcinogenesis and anti- carcinogenesis. Focus has been on identifying the mode(s) of action of dioxin and other environmental agents in carcinogenesis. In addition, major research efforts have gone into elucidating the role of the estrogen receptor signaling pathways in hepatic and mammary carcinogenesis. Carcinogen risk assessment and risk assessment modeling for prevention strategies is a second area of emphasis for the public health aspects of the laboratory.
