Research Interests

Dr Pitman is a Miami Dade County Public School Teacher who has taught the environmental sciences for over 10 years on loan from the Miami Dade County School System to work on a number of Outreach and Education Projects at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Miami. In the past, Dr Pitman has coordinated the GLOBE environmental sciences curriculum program. Currently Dr Pitman is the Coordinator of the NIEHS-funded AMBIENT Project to develop and disseminated interdisciplinary environmental health curriculum in collaboration with the Miami Dade County Public Schools and the NIEHS funded BIOTRACK Program of the Miami Museum of Science.
