Research Interests

Dr Julie Zaias is a Veterinarian Pathologist at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr Zaias has just completed a NIH-funded Post Doctoral Fellowship in Pathology at the University of Miami. As a Phd Candidate in Marine Biology at the Rosensteil School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, Dr Zaias is currently beginning her Dissertation research in the pathophysiology of aerosolized Florida Red Tide Toxins (brevetoxin) exposure in animals and humans in cooperation with the interdisciplinary collaborative group of the NIEHS funded PO1 Award on Aerosolized Red Tide Toxins.
