Research Goals
Our research investigates the biological, social, and economic factors that influence the dynamics of the world's fisheries. We believe that undertanding these factors and their interactions is key to developing equitable and sustainable management of fish stocks.
Academic Goals
We seek to provide students with a strong interdisciplinary and quantitative background in fisheries science. We offer students the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge to the real world through our numerous collaborations with academic, government, and non-profit institutions both in the US and abroad.
Our sub-groups:
Center for Independent Experts (CIE)
Cooperative Unit for Fisheries Education and Research (CUFER)
Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center (LMRCSC)
Research Collaborators
Southeast Fisheries Science Center: Sustainable Fisheries Division
International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna
