Welcome to the webpage of the climate modeling group at RSMAS. In our research, we use climate models to address fundamental questions about the Earth’s climate such as: How fast will the climate warm in response to greenhouse gases? How fast has climate changed in the past? Can we predict the climate of the upcoming season (will it be normal, wet or dry, hot or cold)? Can we predict the climate of the next decade? Current research projects include:
- Global warming
- Seasonal to interannual climate variability and predictability
- Decadal climate variability and predictability
- Regional climate change
- Hurricanes and climate
