Dr. Halliwell's present work involves the analysis of remote sensing and in-situ oceanographic data, along with the analysis of numerical model runs to help interpret the observational results. Specific projects include ocean climate studies (upper-ocean heat balance and large-scale SST anomalies) along with studies of the stability of, and eddy/mixed-layer interaction processes within, oceanic frontal zones.
