Atmospheric AerosolsSecond, aerosols suspended in the atmosphere can scatter and absorb sunlight. Consequently, these aerosols can affect the earthıs heat budget and impact climate. Finally, aerosols can directly affect biological systems including human health. Respirable aerosols act as irritants in respiratory air ways exacerbating asthma. In addition, aerosols often contain toxins and/or carcinogens.
